HISTORIA
Alfredo Harp Helú
Filántropo, empresario y promotor del deporte mexicano.
Contador público por la UNAM, especialista en la rama financiera y bursátil.
Sus lemas: “la mejor inversión está en México” y “En la vida no hay retiro a tiempo,
debemos permanecer en el campo de juego hasta que llegue el final”.

Mi Historia
Nació en la Ciudad de México el 11 de marzo.
A los once años de edad vendía suscripciones del periódico Excélsior.
Realizó sus primeros estudios en el Colegio Cristóbal Colón, dirigido por los hermanos lasallistas.
Cursó sus estudios profesionales en la ahora Facultad de Comercio y Administración de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), donde se graduó como Contador Público.
Su primer trabajo profesional lo realizó en el despacho de Price Waterhouse.
1966
Bolsa Mexicana de Valores
Participa activamente en la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, institución que presidió. También fue presidente de otras instituciones ligadas al mercado de valores en México, como la Asociación Mexicana de Casas de Bolsa y el Instituto Mexicano del Mercado de Capitales.
1971
Fundación de la Casa de Bolsa Accival
Al lado de Roberto Hernández Ramírez, funda la casa de bolsa Acciones y Valores de México, S.A. de C.V. (Accival), que desde sus inicios ocupó los primeros lugares en volumen y monto de operaciones celebradas en la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores.
Desde 1990 lleva a cabo obras filantrópicas amplias y reconocidas en todo México. Sus diversos programas se agrupan desde el año 2000 en la fundación que lleva su nombre.
Sus fundaciones apoyan diversos proyectos en áreas como: cultura, educación, medio ambiente, salud, asistencia social, proyectos productivos y, por supuesto, deportes.
Adquirió, junto con Roberto Hernández Ramírez y un grupo de inversionistas, el Banco Nacional de México (Banamex), creando el Grupo Financiero Banamex Accival (Banacci), el más importante del país.
1994
Los Diablos y Los Guerreros
Apasionado del beisbol, en 1994 cumplió uno más de sus sueños adquiriendo el equipo Diablos Rojos del México. Desde 1996 es propietario de los Guerreros de Oaxaca, ambos equipos pertenecen a la Liga Mexicana de Beisbol.
Fundó en Oaxaca la Academia de Beisbol de Alto Rendimiento Alfredo Harp Helú, para reclutar a jóvenes talentosos entre 14 y 17 años de edad que podrían convertirse en jugadores profesionales.
2012
Los Padres de San Diego
A partir de 2012, Alfredo Harp es accionista de los Padres de San Diego, con lo que se convirtió en el primer empresario mexicano en invertir en un equipo de las Grandes Ligas de Beisbol de los Estados Unidos.
2019
Estadio de Beisbol y Salón de la Fama
Culmina la construcción del Estadio de Beisbol Alfredo Harp Helú en la Ciudad de México, y del Salón de la Fama del Beisbol Mexicano en la ciudad de Monterrey, Nuevo León.
Actualmente radica en la ciudad de Oaxaca, donde su fundación enfoca sus proyectos e iniciativas a favor de la sociedad. Destacan el Museo de Filatelia de Oaxaca, el Museo Textil de Oaxaca, ADABI de México (Apoyo Al Desarrollo de Archivos y Bibliotecas de México), el Centro Cultural San Pablo, el Taller de Restauración de la FAHHO, diversas bibliotecas infantiles, juveniles y de investigación, así como el Museo Infantil de Oaxaca.
A raíz de los sismos del mes de septiembre de 2017, su fundación destinó más de 700 millones de pesos para apoyar a las zonas afectadas.
En su libro “Vivir y Morir Jugando Beisbol”, Alfredo Harp Helú sentencia:
“En la vida no hay retiro a tiempo, debemos permanecer en el campo de juego hasta que llegue el final”.
